Alumni and Parent Relations Staff
Nathan Soland '04,
Director
Nathan leads the alumni and parent relations team, assists classmates
in planning reunions, works with the Multi-Cultural Alumni Network
(MCAN) and the New York, Washington, D.C. and Twin Cities alumni
clubs. In his spare time, he sings Um! Yah! Yah! while traying
down Old Main Hill, sneaks into Christiansen Hall of Music to wear
the purple St. Olaf Choir robes, and holds saences in the Speech/Theatre
Building, evoking the ghost of Elizabeth Kelsey. Through and through--he's
an Ole.
Kathy Schuurman, Associate
Director
Kathy coordinates Commencement and Reunion Weekends, works with reunion planning volunteers
and the area clubs in Denver, Phoenix and Seattle. She also works with retired
alumni, particularly in the Northfield and Twin Cities area and manages the Alumni
Awards process. Kathy has worked in the alumni office since 2002, and started
her career at St. Olaf in the admissions office in 1999. She is a proud parent
of '02 and '04 St. Olaf alums (as well as a '06 Luther alum) and her husband
is a member of the religion faculty. Even though she is not officially an "Ole" (graduated from Calvin College
in Grand Rapids, MI), Kathy considers herself to be an Ole through adoption!
Heidi Quiram, Associate
Director of Alumni Relations and Study Travel Programs
Heidi oversees the international Study Travel programs for alumni, parents and
friends of the college. She directs four programs per year, offering a mix of
destinations and educational topics. Heidi also works with the 15th and 60th
class reunions and area clubs in San Francisco, San Diego, and Los Angeles.
Jen Winterfeldt '07, Assistant Director
Jen is proud to lead the coordination efforts for Homecoming and Family Weekend, work with reunion planning committees for the 5th, 30th, 35th, 65th and 70th reunions, and collaborate on events with alumni and friends of the college in the Chicago and Seattle areas. She is passionate about all things black and gold, so do not hesitate to contact her to share any fun memories of the Hill or exciting St. Olaf inspired ideas.

Relations website. In addition, Allen is in charge of the publishing and distribution

with club events.

Diana is responsible for the daily management of the office. Her duties
include tracking budgets, providing assistance to the director and associate
directors, hiring, training and supervising student workers. She serves
as the office receptionist, answering phone and email inquiries, welcoming
visitors and guests. Other duties include managing the collection and
processing of news items for the Alumni World, providing logistical support
for the Alumni Board, coordinating the Alumni Awards process, organizing Senior
GradFest and handling many aspects of Homecoming and Reunion Weekends.
